The Papaya Wrap Skirt The Pattern Pages

The wrap skirt was originally designed as a cover-up for the beach but has progressed into our everyday wardrobes. This unique diagonal overlapped wrap skirt is as a stylish midi/just below the knee.

It has a comfortable flat waistband and it’s detailing comes by creating beautiful topstitching on the waistband, skirt opening and hemline. Make it your own with a simple button closure waistband or customise it and have a slight overlap with a statement button! Sew in no time at all on your regular machine or with an overlocker/serger.

SKILL LEVEL: All sewing levels - Designed for beginners, but more advanced sewers can enjoy a quick afternoon make too!

RECOMMENDED FABRIC: 1.5M (approx the equiv. in YARDS)
Make in a light- to medium-weight woven fabrics with lots of drape like rayon, chambray, silk, cotton, crepe and sateens. For a skirt with more structure, choose a denim or linen. It looks equally stylish in a print or solid colour.
